Tree Mapping at McCrorey Heights

TreesCharlotte will conduct a tree inventory mapping of street-view trees in the McCrorey Heights neighborhood. Volunteers will be split into zones and will be given measuring tapes, tree manuals, and tablets with the “PictureThis” app.  Volunteers will identify the following:

• Number of trees (note heritage trees)
• Trunk diameter measurement of each accessible tree
• Identify tree species and the number of each tree species

Before the tree mapping event, participants are encouraged to download the “PictureThis” app. Picture. This is a free app to use; please do not subscribe to this service. If you have trouble accessing the free version, the TreesCharlotte staff will guide you on how to access it on the event day.
